Description

The tour’s uniqueness stems from Erg Chebbi, the majestic dunes towering over the twin towns of Merzouga. These dunes have an unearthly quality that is truly breathtaking. The area is steeped in legend, with one tale recounting the story of a poor woman and her son who were denied hospitality by a wealthy local family, only to be buried under the sands by God, creating the mounds now known as Erg Chebbi. The dunes are spectacular, capable of changing shape and soaring to heights of 160m. Their colour is equally mesmerizing, a stunning shade of rose gold that appears to glow in the sunlight, gradually shifting to a vibrant orange, pink, and purple kaleidoscope as the day progresses. The sight of Erg Chebbi is unforgettable and will leave a lasting impression on anyone who visits the area
